Strategy and Policy

David has extensive experience in preparing strategies and policies that support sustainable urban transformations. His approach deeply considers the specific project context and the major issues collectively impacting our cities and regions, including climate change and social inequity. He is committed to collaborative processes that support shared decision making and draw on existing stakeholder knowledge.

Urban Design

David works at multiple scales, from municipalities and neighbourhoods, to masterplans, development sites and building typologies. Through a detailed understanding of places and communities, he develops frameworks and guidelines which identify the systems, conditions and physical forms that shape equitable and sustainable urban environments.

Research

David undertakes quantitative and qualitative urban research to understand past conditions, existing context and forecasts about the future. This includes spatial and demographic analysis, policy reviews, benchmarking, best practice case studies and stakeholder engagement. He effectively translates and illustrates findings to provide clear insights that support decision making.
